For the love of chondros

Phoenix

ID#: MM-04-28
Sex: Male
Sire: EB-98-55vi "Tony Montana"
Dam: KM-98-01 F1 Jayapura-type

Phoenix had a name change recently because his old one just never suited him. Phoenix, named for this firey red neonate and current peppered adult coloring, is a mite phase chondro I received from Marcial Mendez as a sub-adult. He has an interesting background that includes some of the first chondros ever produced in captivity. Phoenix's sire, Tony Montana, comes from the "Van Mierop" line of chondros. Dr. L.H.S. Van Mierop was a professor at UF whose initial research, along with Ophilogical Services, The National Zoo, and Trooper Walsh, helped unravel the secrets of chondro incubation. The future is bright for this beautiful male.

I plan on pairing him up with Freckles, an F1 Aru-type with mite-phasing, in the fall of 2007.
